A person on our payroll, and a law student interning with us, gave us their details so that we could employ or train them. They did not give them to us to put on the internet. So we publish the count and nothing else — no names, no photographs, no designations, no "meet the team" wall. If one of them wants to be named somewhere, they can ask us, and it will be their decision rather than ours.
The same rule applies to clients. We have never published a client name, a case, a testimonial or a review on this website, and we do not intend to.
Each figure is a live count. When the owner approves an advocate's application, the advocate count goes up — on this page, on the home page, in the footer, in the directory and in the sitemap, all at once, because they all read the same count. Nobody edits a number anywhere.
The same is true in reverse. If an advocate asks for their entry to be removed, or a person leaves the team, the number falls the same day. A count that only ever goes up is not a count; it is an advertisement.
The figures are cached for ten minutes so that pages stay quick, and the timestamp at the top of this page tells you exactly how fresh what you are reading is.
